Coockie Policy

Last updated: 2 May 2026

This cookie statement explains how Mason Pete B.V. (“Mason Pete”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on www.masonpete.com. It should be read together with our privacy statement, which describes more broadly how we process personal data.

We use cookies and similar technologies in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the “GDPR”) and Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet).

1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, remember preferences, and collect information about how the site is used. Similar technologies — such as pixels, tags, local storage, and SDKs — perform comparable functions and are treated equivalently in this statement.

Cookies can be set by us (“first-party”) or by third parties whose services we use on the site (“third-party”). They can be temporary (“session” cookies, deleted when you close the browser) or persistent (stored for a defined period).

2. Categories of cookies we use

We classify the cookies and similar technologies on our website into the following categories:

• Strictly necessary — required for the website to function (including page rendering, security, and basic navigation). These do not require your consent under Dutch and EU law;
Marketing — used to measure the effectiveness of our marketing activities and, where applicable, to retarget visitors on third-party platforms. These are placed only with your consent.

Mason Pete operates a deliberately minimal cookie footprint. We do not currently use analytics, preference, or social-media cookies on this website.

3. Cookies we use
The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies set on www.masonpete.com, including their purpose, the provider, and the retention period. This list is maintained in sync with our consent management platform (see section 5).

Framer (site platform)
Required for the website to function correctly, including page rendering, navigation, security, and load balancing. These cookies do not require consent.

Consent management
Usercentrics CMP

Usercentrics GmbH
Up to 12 months

Note: Framer cookies are classified as strictly necessary because they are required to deliver the website itself. They do not track you across sites and are not used for analytics or marketing.

4. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are placed on the basis of the exception in Article 11.7a(3) of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, which permits cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service requested by the user. No consent is required and no consent is requested for these cookies.

Marketing cookies are placed only on the basis of your prior, freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 11.7a(1) Telecommunicatiewet). Consent is collected through our cookie banner the first time you visit the site, and you can change or withdraw it at any time (see section 6).

5. Consent management platform
We use Usercentrics CMP to collect, record, and manage cookie consent. Usercentrics:

• blocks non-essential cookies and tags until you have given consent;
• records your consent choice and the timestamp, so we can demonstrate compliance;
• enables you to view, change, or withdraw your consent at any time through the preference centre.

Usercentrics is provided by Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Str. 7, 80331 Munich, Germany. More information is available at https://usercentrics.com.

6. Managing your cookie preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time:

On our website — click the “Cookie settings” link in the footer (or the floating preference icon) to reopen the consent banner and update your choices.
In your browser — most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. You can also configure your browser to block cookies or to alert you when cookies are being set. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent the website from functioning correctly.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

7. International transfers
Some of the providers listed in section 3 are established outside the European Economic Area (EEA), or rely on group entities or sub-processors that are. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure that an appropriate safeguard under Chapter V of the GDPR is in place — typically an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, supplemented by additional technical and organisational measures where required following a transfer impact assessment.

For LinkedIn specifically, transfers are governed by LinkedIn’s data processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses; the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework may also apply where the recipient is certified.

8. Your rights
Where cookies process personal data, you have the rights set out in our privacy statement — including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise these rights, please contact privacy@masonpete.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

9. Changes to this cookie statement
We may update this cookie statement from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, our service providers, or applicable law. The latest version is always available on our website, and the “Last updated” date at the top of this document indicates when it was most recently revised. Where changes are material — for example, the introduction of a new category of cookies — we will request renewed consent through the consent banner.
